These are low resolution playblasts so you can preview the animations. (They start at number 101 because this is a continuation of our Smoke Pack 1 and 2 which have the first 100).
I remember wondering 2 years ago why there were no animated VDBs to be found online. I figured it was because of the file size, but still. Not being able to find a single one was just as odd as it was frustrating. So huge thanks for putting this together, truly. Sometimes I just want to slap a little smoke sim somewhere and setting everything up with TFD can take some time. much appreciated!

Saves so much time not having to do simulations and you have so many options to choose from. Rarely do I have to jump into Houdini or Xparticles unless I have to do something super specific.

The VDB smoke is a brilliant product – it’s hard to believe there’s not more out there as it’s really like 3d stock footage; making something that’s a pain to setup into a drag-and-drop experience. Having animated sequences is especially cool, and the durations (20 seconds mostly) are also very usable.
